Joseph Doerr

Joseph Doerr joined McCormick Barstow’s Business Practice Group in 2010, and currently serves as its Chair. He is an experienced attorney whose practice focuses on estate planning, trust administration, business planning, real estate and related tax matters. Doerr provides counseling to individuals and businesses regarding tax planning and tax controversy including IRS and FTB audits and appeals. In addition to tax matters, he advises fiduciaries and families on the preparation of complete estate plans, including wills, living trusts, and powers of attorney. Doerr also assists new businesses with entity formation and established businesses with restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and capital needs. A portion of Doerr’s practice is devoted to negotiating and restructuring real estate transactions.

Doerr has been certified by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a specialist in Taxation Law. He is admitted to practice law before all California state courts, the United States Court for the Eastern District of California and the United States Tax Court. Doerr is a member of the State Bar of California, Fresno County Bar Association, and Fresno County Young Lawyers Association.
