Lee Ann Eager joined the Fresno County Economic Development Corporation in September of 2009. She was hired as the President/CEO in February of 2012. Her responsibilities include oversight of all aspects of the organization. Eager has been working diligently on the High Speed Rail project for the past 8 years, including helping local businesses who are being affected by the construction of the project and has been working in partnership with the trades and local workforce development board in ensuring that the local businesses and workforce have every opportunity to work on this historic project. In addition to the High Speed Rail project, the local EDC is very active in international trade in California. The EDC, with its partners, works with the Global Cities Initiative to create a Foreign Direct Investment plan.
Eager is on numerous local boards including three state boards appointed by the Governor (California Partnership for the San Joaquin Valley, International Trade and Investment Council and California Workforce Development Board). Prior to the EDC, she was an attorney with the law firm of Lang, Richert & Patch, and an executive director of the Rape Crisis Center in Fresno for 12 years. Eager graduated from Fresno State with a degree in Criminology and earned her JD from University of California, Davis School of Law.
