Ted Leavitt is an action oriented professional with over 12 years of experience in Safety, Health & Environment management. As a 28-year Navy veteran, Leavitt’s energetic demeanor and interpersonal skills coupled with broad knowledge of the responsibilities associated with the process, implementation, and monitoring of safety, health, and environmental standards makes him a key component within Boretti, Inc.
Leavitt managed the occupational/non-occupation and aviation safety program for the Navy’s largest F-18 training squadron that included 1,200 people and 120 aircraft, reducing injuries by over 40% in 3 1/2 years. His experience included Lockout/Blockout and Confined Space program development, Ergonomic Assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Fall Protection, Hazard Communication, Fleet/Traffic/Motorcycle Safety, and Safety Awareness/Inspections.
In his career, Leavitt has developed numerous training programs for the Navy and Department of Defense, conducted over 250 occupational, non-occupational, and motor vehicle investigations, and completed trend analysis based on injury statistics, recommending action plan’s to reduce mishaps and injuries. He has conducted assessments, inspections and audits of operations ensuring compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, Department of Defense, U.S. Navy and Japanese Environmental Governing Standards (JEGS).
Leavitt has a Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Safety and Health and is currently pursuing his Master’s of Science in Occupational Safety and Health.
