Thad Russell began his higher education career teaching for ten years at Manhattan Technical College (KS) following twelve successful years in the private sector as an Information Technology professional.
Passionate about the success of students, Russell joined the administrative staff at Dodge City Community College in 2011 first as Dean of Technology and Distance Education, then as Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs. In the summer of 2015 he became the Dean of Career Technical Education and Workforce Development at College of the Sequoias in Visalia, California. His goal is to explore and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies that result in increased student success.
Russell earned his bachelor degree in Technical Education from Pittsburg State University, his master of science degree in education from Kansas State University and a doctorate in Community College Leadership at the Roueche Graduate Center, National American University.
