Executive Profile: Troy Brandt

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in industrial technology, Saint Mary’s University, Minnesota

Associate of science degree in mechanical design, Northwest Technical Institute, Minnesota.

Age: 46

Family: Married 21 years to Julie Brandt and the father of Parker, 15; Brooke, 12; and Preston, 10.

WHAT WE DO: Hydratech is a manufacturer of custom hydraulic cylinders in southwest Fresno. The company began in the mid 1970s doing miscellaneous machining and welding projects. One of their valued clients made aerial platforms, and once Hydratech began producing their hydraulic cylinders, there was no looking back.

Hydratech today has 72 employees, and we are working to grow that number to meet current demand.

In 2006, Hydratech was sold to Ligon Industries, an Alabama-based business that owns six other hydraulic cylinder companies in the U.S.
